Fujitsu unveiled the new member of its LifeBook series notebook last wekk, “FMV-U8240″ Ultra Mobile PC. Weighs at just 580 grams, this compact machine runs on either Windows XP or Vista operating system. However, the only information about U8240 is that it comes with a bright 5.6-inch 1024×600 display and it will make its debut in Asian regions (June for XP edition and July fo Vista). I’ll post more detail about it once they became available.

Archive for May, 2007Here’s the latest 12.1-megapixel digital camera from Casio, the EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1200 model. It sports a 2.8-inch colors display, a 3x optical zoom lens, and a 11.4MB internal memory with SDHC and MMC media card support for additional storage. Furthermore, the camera supports H.264 video format, as well as UHQ video mode with 848×480 resolution @ 7MBps (DVD-like quality). Fujitsu recently shown off its new concept laptop, the “Fab PC”. The machine is made of fabric (that’s the reason behind the “Fab” name FYI) and sports an innovative foldable design and a unique e-ink display. Sounds gorgeous… can’t wait ’til the company spills the detail of this laptop.

HTC May Announce iPhone-like Multi-Touch Smartphone June 5thPosted by: admin in Uncategorized
According to Smartphone Thoughts, this announcement will be a new smartphone based on the Elf Pocket PC. This Elf-based smartphone will feature a multi-touch user interface similar to the iPhone’s. Smartphone Thoughts got the information from a very reliable tipster. Even so, the invitation itself gives one a very good clue about the possibility of a multi-touch smartphone. I for one believe that it is a multi-touch HTC smartphone they’ll announce June 5. Although, iPhone news have no apparent effect to HTC stocks, the iPhone is generally seen as a threat to smartphone and business phone manufacturers like HTC and RIM. According to the rumor, Samsung is currently working on the successor of its i600 Smartphone. The new Windows Mobile-based phone will be named as i620 and it’ll come in a stylish design and sliding mechanism. The company hasn’t release any official announcement regarding this handset yet, but some sources mention that i620 will feature a Windows Mobile 6 Standard Edition OS, a 320×240 65K colors TFT display, a HSDPA/UMTS data connectivity, and QWERTY keyboard. Check below for the rest of the (unconfirmed) specs.

The Screen reacts to touch and recognizes various finger gestures and also responds to other objects like a paint brush. The Screen runs on Windows Vista and is essentially a Windows PC shaped like a table with additional multi-touch functionality. The Surface will be shipped to T-Mobile US stores and can also be seen in Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. properties. International Game Technology will also be a distributor. Now you can download all items in Google Reader and can read them offline with Google’s newly released web app framework named Google Gears.
