Now you can download all items in Google Reader and can read them offline with Google’s newly released tool named Google Gears.

Google Gears is an open source browser extension that enables web applications to provide offline functionality.

You just have to install Google gears (windows only) and click the new Offline button in Google Reader.

Google Gears can download upto 2,000 items so they’re available even when you don’t have an internet connection.

This is first Google application using Google Gears and more offline applications are soon to come.
