Asus will soon release a highly-affordable laptop called “EEE PC 701″. This machine will run on either Linux or Windows XP, both with stripped-down capabilities. Don’t worry, it’s still capable of browsing the internet. If not, its built-in 802.11b/g WiFI support will be such as waste, right? Other features include an Intel-based chipset, a 7-inch display, a 512MB of main memory, webcam module, and up to 16GB flash drive.

Great, another choice for my next shopping plan, Samsung’s SPH-W2400 (or SCH-W240). I’ve been thinking of buying either a HSDPA phone or a HSDPA USB modem since I really want to try out what its like to surf the web at a speed of 3.6MBps. I haven’t got any experience with Samsung’s cell phone before but I don’t mind buying this one if its HSDPA connectivity is proven to deliver a good perfomance. Well, apart from the high-speed internet access, the handset feature a rotating LCD display, a 2 megapixel camera module, Bluetooth connectivity, media player, DMB receiver, TV-out, translation software, microSD media card slot, and much more. Not a bad candidate to replace my SE K800, right?

I-O Data launched its newest LCD monitor, the 24-inch LCD-MF241XBR series. The display comes with 2 HDMI port, so if you own PS3 or XBox 360 Elite, you can pair them with the LCD. Other noteworthy features include a resolution of 1920×1200, three USB2.0 ports, HDCP, 1080p support, and S-Video. No words on pricing and availability at the moment though, but don’t worry, I’ll let you know once I got the information.

I’m a big fan of Alienware’s product. That’s why, eventhough its products are not available in my country, I keep on subscribing onto its newsletter, just to find out the company’s latest creation. Well guys, yesterday, Alienware announced the release of Hangar18, a High-Definition (HD) Entertainment Center. This all-in-one home theatre solution lets you watch HD movies, record your favourite TV show in HD format, and playback your MP3 song collection with superb quality, thanks to its onboard 5.1-ch surround sound amplifier. Moreover, you can also download media content directly from the internet and store it onto Hangar18’s 2TB HDD for later viewing or wireless streaming over home network to your PCs, mobile devices, or media extenders. Telephia, the world’s largest provider of syndicated consumer research to the telecom and mobile media markets, launched the industry’s first ever Premium SMS Report. According to the data, US mobile carriers reached more than $273 million in revenues which is 32 percent of mobile content achievement.

Download purchases paid for via premium SMS (at off-portal storefronts) that include content such as ringtones and horoscopes made up revenue of nearly $215 million which is 40% of premium SMS volume. Voting/sweepstakes entries generated somewhat less in a money equivalent – but they represented 47 percent of premium SMS volume.

According to Kanishka Agarwal, vice president of mobile media, Telephia: “Premium SMS has grabbed a healthy slice of the mobile content market, accounting for an off-portal share of 32 percent. Moreover, marketers are experimenting beyond the standard rate SMS voting pioneered by “American Idol” and tapping into premium SMS with voting/sweepstakes campaigns. NBC’s “Deal or No Deal” has translated into a premium SMS hit, generating nearly half of the volume and revenue of voting/sweepstakes entries in the first quarter of 2007.”

If you want to be respected on the streets (sidewalk) while you’re talking to your people on the phone, you might want to get a Hummer HT1. The Hummer HT1 is slider phone that goes with the Hummer car, a humvee-based SUV manufactured by General Motors. It is designed by ModeLabs, quite the contrast with these eco-friendly cell phone concepts.

Neither ModeLabs or Hummer has released much info on the HT1. I’d be interested to know if the casing will be made of the same metal frame as the vehicle. What we know for now is that this is a GSM/GPRS device with 256MB of internal memory, FM tuner and a 2MP camera. It will be available in Europe for Euro 300.

GreenHouse recently updated its product portfolio with th new 17-inch GH-PSG173S series LCD monitor. This display comes in two different colors, black (model: GH-PSG173SB) and white (model: GH-PSG173SW). Measures 381 x 190 x 397mm and weighs 4.4kg, both LCDs feature a brightness of 250cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 500:1, a max. resolution of 1280×1024 (SXGA), and a response time of 8ms. Moreover, this widescreen display is equipped with 2W speaker on each side.

The Elf’s 3D touchscreen navigation is HTC’s answer to Apple’s iPhone. But first thing’s first. It seems that HTC has decided to change the name from “Elf” to the “Touch.” The HTC Touch is a Windows Mobile 6 phone. It boasts a 2.8 touch screen with similar multi-touch, finger-swiping controls that you would see in the iPhone. Besides that, the Touch has a built-in 2MP camera which matches the iPhone’s own built-in camera and connectivity is pretty much iPhone-matching as well: GSM, 2.5G EDGE, WiFi. From the videos below a few things can be observed, most interesting of which is the consistent one-handed navigation of the touchscreen shown in the videos. The iPhone ads have a man using two hands to navigate the iPhone UI.

I’m hoping this guy’s hand is not oversized, because he’s really handling the one-handed navigation. I don’t know why he keeps using the big tactile button below. It also looks like the Touch UI missed a few thumb impressions.

This phone is really HOT! Apart from its ability to use dual GSM SIM cards at once (so you can have two different phone numbers), it also comes with a unique design (notice the pad that is placed beside the numeric keypad instead of at the center like general’s phone layout) and a cool artistic art on the back. About the specs, well, somehow the translation I got from its Chinese source is very strange, but I’ll try to do my best… Let’s see.. a large 2.2-inch touchscreen display, media player (MP3 and MPEG4), microSD card slot, and 64-polyphonic ringtone. The translation also mentioned about its video recording capability, but no detail about its camera module. A standard 2.0MP I guess.

Web surfers have become familiar with affiliate links. Many web surfers prefer not clicking affiliate links. Its a nice idea to make it harder for newbies to know that the link is an affiliate link. Smart bloggers & webmasters use techniques to cloak the Referral links to increase CTR.

There are many ways to hide affiliate links. The most common way is by using apache redirect.

For Ex: If i need to create a redirect for my text link ads affiliate link.

I will copy this code into .htaccess file located in website root directory.

Mio unveils the successor of A701 PDA Phone during Computex 2007 event, the A702 Digiwalker. This mobile device sports a 3.2 megapixel camera module, a jogdial on the side, numeric keypad, and built-in GPS capabilities. The phone can also recognize Chinese character input stroked directly onto its touchscreen display (not sure about the size). Other features include a Windows Mobile 6 OS, USB interface, microSD card slot, built-in RSS reader, and more.

June 15th will not only be the launch date of Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-FS2 digicam, it’d also be the day when you can start seeing the new brown-colored Lumix DMC-TZ3 digital camera on the Japan market. This compact camera sports a 10x optical zoom lens, 28mm true wide-angle, a 3.0-inch LCD display with viewfinder, a 7.2 megapixel CCD sensor, and Venus 3 processing engine. The company doesn’t mention about the price on its press release, but I bet it won’t be much different than the price of the other TZ3 series digital cameras.
