ViewSonic VX1940W LCD Monitor Images

ViewSonic is going to release VX1940w, world’s first 19-inch widescreen LCD monitor that boasts a super-high resolution of 1680 x 1050, an ultra-fast response time of 2ms (gray-to-gray), and a dynamic contrast ratio of 3000:1; next month. Obviously, this high-perfomance display aimed at gaming and multimedia enthusiasts market, although nobody would stop you from having one on your desk. As long as you can afford to buy it, of course, since I have the feeling that it won’t come cheap (currently no words on pricing).

IO-Data MF241XWR LCD Monitor Images

Priced at 138,000 Yen (or about 850 EUR), I-O Data’s MF241XWR LCD monitor boasts a 24-inch screen size and a generous two HDMI inputs for watching high-definition content from two different external sources. It has a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1200 and comes with HDCP, PIP (Picture in Picture) function, remote control (that’s cool!), and three USB ports. Apart from HDMI, the display is also equipped with a host of inputs, including D5, S-Video, RGB, and DVI-D.

Sharp Pop Up LCD TV Images

Sharp once again shows off its prototype of next-generation LCD TV, “Pop Up“. This time during CEATEC 2007 event. As mentioned before, the television is hidden inside a cabinet. It’ll automatically pop-up if you turn it on. Vice versa, the TV will go inside the cabinet once it turned off. Weighs 25kg, the slim TV (at just 20~29mm thickness) itself features a contrast ratio of 100,000:1, a 150% of NTSC color gamut, and an annual power consumption of 140kWh. Still no words on pricing and availability though.

Samsung 940UX LCD Monitor Images

Samsung has just announced that the US version of its 19-inch 940UX LCD monitor has been shipped. 940UX is the company’s first display that support USB as an alternate video input. According to Samsung’s technical details, the screen draws on both its own hardware as well as the CPU power of a host PC to drive the display without the use of an internal video card. You can even use your notebook to run up to six displays, as long as it has enough processing power. For those who want to go the old-fashioned way, both DVI and VGA connectors are provided as well.

Prima LC-52R36 LCD TV Images

PRIMA showcased “LC-52R36″, its new 52-inch full HD LCD TV, during SINOCES 2007 event in China. The HDTV adopted Sharp’s panel and features a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a brightness of 800cd/m2, a response time of 4ms, and a viewing angle of 178-degree. Sounds good, but unfortunately, no words on pricing and availability at the moment.

Another display from Samsung Electronics. This one is designed with a swan in mind, thus dubbed as “Swan Monitor”. This widescreen display boasts a sexy design and an adjustable angle via elastomer materials. It’ll be avalaible very soon in Korea market in two different screen size: 20-inch (CX2032GW/BW, 360,000 KRW) and 22-inch (CX2232GW/BW, 437,000 KRW).

Chimei CMV-222H LCD Monitor Images

Still a report from Computex 2007 event in Taipei, China. At its booth, CHIMEI, currently showcased “CMV-222H”, its latest widescreen multi-function LCD monitor. This 22-inch display sports a response time of 5ms, a native resolution of 1680×1050, an aspect ratio of 16:10, a contrast ratio of 1200:1, a brightness of 300cd/m2, and a viewing angle of 170 (H) / 160 (V) degree. Moreovre, it is equipped with two 5W speakers (placed on each side, HDMI input (rejoice PS3 and XBox 360 Elite owners!), and card reader supporting 6 different media types (SD/MMC/MS/SM/XD/CF). And if I see it correctly (picture below), the Vista-ready CMV-222H has a USB interface as well. CMIIW.

I-O Data MF241XBR LCD Monitor Images

I-O Data launched its newest LCD monitor, the 24-inch LCD-MF241XBR series. The display comes with 2 HDMI port, so if you own PS3 or XBox 360 Elite, you can pair them with the LCD. Other noteworthy features include a resolution of 1920×1200, three USB2.0 ports, HDCP, 1080p support, and S-Video. No words on pricing and availability at the moment though, but don’t worry, I’ll let you know once I got the information.

GreenHouse GH-PSG173S LCD Monitor Images

GreenHouse recently updated its product portfolio with th new 17-inch GH-PSG173S series LCD monitor. This display comes in two different colors, black (model: GH-PSG173SB) and white (model: GH-PSG173SW). Measures 381 x 190 x 397mm and weighs 4.4kg, both LCDs feature a brightness of 250cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 500:1, a max. resolution of 1280×1024 (SXGA), and a response time of 8ms.
